Happy fall everyone! In the spirit of the beginning of the fall, I decided to share with you my fall color dress. Here in sunny California, I honestly don’t think there is fall nor winter! It is sunny and in the 90s here! However, it does have some chilly nights and days but at this moment it isn’t. YAY!
This dress fits perfectly with the fall colors, don’t you guys agree? To be honest this isn’t a dress, it’s actually a top but since I am petite, almost everything looks like a dress on me! The struggles of being petite are real, so I embrace it! On a normal person, this will be a medium length top, but on me, it makes a great relaxing dress to stroll around in. It is perfect for the California fall weather if you ask me. What I love most about this dress is that instead of being a tight form fitting dress, it is a very loose and relaxing dress. The dress is so simple with a lovely neck line design! The crisscross adds character. Another plus is that it’s very light and breathable for warm weather! So if you are looking for a something light, comfy and stylish to wear, my friends, this is your dress or top!
So with the fall weather here, I know many of us in the east coast may be already feeling the cooler weather. Winter is approaching and the holidays will be here sooner than you think. I noticed that around that time of the year, people tend to start dating. Why? because it is cooler temperature, who wants to go to bed and not hug a warm body? I’m just kidding. But I do have a question to ask you guys.
My question to you today is “Do you love yourself?” What would your answer be?
As easy as that question sounds, it may be hard for most of us to answer, or at least it was for me. Loving myself was a battle for me everyday. I am not perfect and I have my moments of insecurities just like everyone else. I’ve compared myself to others, especially models in magazines. I am never satisfied with how I look or what I have because I didn’t feel like I was enough.
For those who follows me on Instagram, the quote I put up about loving yourself, “No one is going to love you if you don’t love yourself.” This quote is absolutely relevant for the last couple years of my life, I have proven that it is correct. For example, let’s talk about relationships. We’ve all experienced heartbreaks and if you haven’t, good for you! Heart breaks teach you a lot about yourself. Throughout my heartbreaks, I have learned to love myself even more than I have before. I noticed that I was always the one who gave too much love to someone else and in the midst of it, I lost myself. I became someone I didn’t recognize. I stopped taking care of myself and always put my feelings last. There were arguments, there were insecurities, and part of the reason was because I didn’t know who I was anymore and I didn’t love myself. That comes with confidence, accepting who you are, and genuinely being happy with yourself. So at the end of it all, I asked myself “If you don’t love yourself then how will someone love you? If you didn’t know who you are, how will someone else know you?” At that moment, I knew I needed to find myself and fall in love with myself first.
Self love is so important because if you know who you are and happy with who you are, your friendships, your relationships, and everything else that falls in between will be better. You don’t have to depend on others for your happiness. You are capable of making yourself happy. Once I realized that I am so much better off. Sometimes you just need time to yourself and do the things you enjoy to fall in love with yourself again!
Till next time,
